Clean Slate

This rear garden had become very overgrown and in need of a tidy-up and uplift. Excess weeds were removed, and existing plants carefully pruned to refresh the space. The soil was turned over before installing a weed-proof membrane, topped with blue slate chippings chosen to complement the grey decking colour scheme and provide a clean, low-maintenance finish. A new hedge of mixed native plants was planted using young whips, which will grow over time to create a beautiful wildlife refuge for birds and insects. The result is an attractive, easy-care garden that will continue to develop as a vibrant natural haven.
