Level 1

Concept Sketch & Consultation (Free of Charge)

Perfect for small gardens or straightforward design ideas, this level is ideal if you're looking for inspiration and expert guidance without the need for a full design package.

•    Free ~45 minute consultation: We'll meet on-site to discuss your garden's potential, hear your ideas, and offer immediate creative suggestions.

•    On-the-spot hand-drawn sketch: We’ll sketch a basic concept during the visit, helping you visualise the possibilities.

•    Quote for works provided: You’ll receive a quote for Flora & Form to bring the concept to life.

This level is ideal when a well-thought-out conversation, accurate measurements, and a touch of imagination are all that’s needed to create a garden you love—keeping things simple, efficient, and cost-effective. For more involved projects, we recommend progressing to Level 2.

Level 2

Garden Design and Scaled Plans (£400 - £1000)

For larger or more intricate spaces, or if you're planning a more significant investment in your garden, this level provides a comprehensive design journey to ensure every detail is considered.

What’s included:

•    Detailed Design Consultation (2 hours): A deep dive into your vision to understand the kinds of garden ideas you have and what themes and styles suit you. We explore design styles, materials, planting schemes, garden structures, colour palettes, maintenance levels, and how to make it all work harmoniously.

At this point, we can leave you with this guidance, including initial concept sketches and supplier recommendations, for you to take your design and build forward independently. The standalone cost of this consultation is £100.

If you decide to continue with Flora & Form, we will take this information and start to develop the design concepts with you.

•    Site Analysis and Appraisal: We take detailed measurements and note existing features, services, and views to ensure the design is anchored to the site’s character. This baseline information ensures the design is fit-for-purpose and supports a smooth construction process.

•    Design Development: Through a collaborative process, we work with you to refine ideas and layouts. This phase includes sketch iterations and discussions to ensure the garden’s concept aligns with your aspirations and practical needs.

•    Mood Board Creation: Based on your preferences and the outcomes of our design session, we’ll create a mood board that captures the overall tone, style, and atmosphere of your new garden. This includes visual references for materials and finishes, colour palettes and textures, planting style and structure, furniture, and lighting inspiration.

•    Technical Drawings: Once the design direction is agreed, we produce:

Concept Drawing and Master Plan: A scaled bird’s-eye view master plan showing the detailed layout and accurate measurements of your garden. This gives you a clear, comprehensive visual of the entire space, helping you understand how all elements work together.

Technical Elevations: For key views or important built features, we provide technical elevations to help you fully appreciate the dimensions and style of structures within your garden.

You’ll receive a professional, tailored design, drawn to scale, that balances creativity with practical execution. At this stage, you can choose to source materials and contractors yourself. If you would like Flora & Form to source materials, plants, and build your garden, we can move onto Level 3, where a detailed quote for works will be provided.

Level 3

Design Features, Construction Planning, and Quotation (£400 - £1000)

At this stage, we take the designs developed in Level 2 and work closely with you to turn your garden plans into a reality. We collaborate to finalise the key elements of your outdoor space—whether that’s hard landscaping, plants, lighting, furniture, or even 3D models and walkthroughs—to ensure every detail is perfectly tailored to your vision and needs.

Level 3 focuses on preparing detailed specifications, plans, and a comprehensive quote for construction. This process is flexible and personalised, allowing you to select which aspects you want to include. Whether you require a full planting plan, detailed hard landscaping drawings, lighting layouts, furniture arrangements, or 3D visualisations, we will develop and refine these components with you.

•    Quote for Construction: We provide a clear and detailed proposal outlining the costs, materials, labour, and timeline required to realise your garden. The scope of this quote will reflect the level of involvement and support you choose from Flora & Form. You can select from one or more of the following plans and products.

•    Planting Plan & Planting Schedule: A tailored planting strategy covering layout, plant selection, quantities, and seasonal interest, alongside a practical schedule and sourcing advice to ensure your garden thrives and looks beautiful year-round.

•    Hard Landscaping Plan: Detailed plans for structural elements such as paving, walls, steps, and drainage, with precise measurements to guarantee smooth execution during installation.

•    Lighting Plans: Designed to accentuate your garden’s features, extend usability into the evening, and create the perfect atmosphere.

•    Furniture Layouts: Thoughtful arrangements for seating, dining, lounging, and storage to maximise comfort and functionality.

•    3D Modelling & Digital Walkthroughs: Optional visual tools that allow you to explore your garden in immersive detail before construction begins.

By choosing the services that suit your project best, you ensure a seamless transition from design to build, with every element carefully planned and considered to create a garden you’ll love for years to come.
